Power Zone was contacted with an immediate need for a positive displacement pump. The pump that the company had been using went out of service. The Aplex MA-95M was a perfect replacement, but was in used condition as an individual inventory item.
When the P.O. was received on Monday, the Power Zone team immediately jumped into action. The MA-95M was brought into Power Zone’s rebuild shop and began to be cleaned. A Power Zone engineer began designing the base, piping, and mounts in Solidworks. After staying a few hours past closing time, the drawings were ready to go. The following morning, Power Zone’s fabrication department began cutting and welding material. Each component was then handed off to finishing for blasting and painting. When the pieces of the package were finished, assembly began their work, placing the newly cleaned pump, mounting the motor, and installing the piping. Then it was sent off to test.
Power Zone’s testing department began preparing to hook up the pump earlier in the week and was ready to go. The pump was hooked up, tested. It then shipped early Monday morning. Exactly one week after receiving the P.O.
