t was an overly normal Tuesday morning on the 4th of October. We received a call from a gold mine in West Africa saying “our pumps are down, our mine is flooding, and we need help fast.” It turned our week upside down in finding a solution, and prompted us to do whatever it would take to ship the replacement pump package on Friday of the same week.

UEA Project

UEA Project

Eventually called the UEA Project, the package required rebuilding of the pump and diesel engine, modification to the skid, refinishing of all equipment and structures, and the addition of hydraulic jacks. The Gardner Denver PZ-9 Pump package came to Power Zone from Texas and ultimately ended up in Australia.

Past Projects | Portable Enclosed Salt Water Disposal Unit

The pump package system is capable of providing flow rates from 3,075 BPD to 9,530 BPD at a maximum pressure of 1462 PSI while staying within API 674 recommended speed. The quintuplex pump is electrically driven with a poly-chain drive per customer’s specifications.

Well Blow Down Unit (BDU)

The Multi-Phase Blow Down Unit or BDU was first designed in 2012 by Power Zone Equipment and was the first unit of its kind for Gas Well Deliquification. Utilizing a Leistritz, 4 screw pump and an external liquid boot reservoir, the pumping unit was designed to pump both gas and liquid without damage to the equipment.
